Job applications peak at Tuesday lunchtime
According to a new study, it seems that if you’re looking for a career change in the New Year the most popular time to apply is Tuesday lunchtime.
The report stated that most firms placed their openings on the Reed website on a Friday with the view that people hunted for jobs at the weekend.
However, Reed Employment said that 20% of job seekers sent off their CV in a search for that ideal post at 1pm on Tuesday.
The analysis of 2.5 million job hunters also found that November was the busiest month of the year for job appointments.
Janine Parry, head of marketing at Reed Employment conveyed: “November is always our busiest period for placing applicants into permanent roles.”
