JOB SUMMARY
Expo Systems is a well established data management & fulfilment bureau, specialising in the UK exhibitions industry, is looking to expand its fast paced technical department. This position is responsible for delivering many aspects of marketing database work across the companys portfolio of clients including event organisers and blue chip companies.
ORGANIZATIONAL STATUS:
This position reports to the IT Director.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Data reformatting, migration, reporting
Merging, purging & deduplication of client data using matchIT software
Letter personalisation, mailsorting
Database programming to manipulate/clean address data
HTML/ASP editing to deliver & maintain event registration web pages
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
Degree level/equivalent or relevant industry experience.
Experience:
1-3 years of current experience in data management.
Skills:
Knowledge of SQL queries / Visual Foxpro / DBase
Knowledge of Crystal Reports
Knowledge of database design principles
Knowledge of ASP / HTML/ Javascript / FTP
Customer facing with good communication skills
Ability to translate data into easily digestible reports for marketing use and understand clients marketing aims to use data effectively to achieve these aims.
Good understanding of data protection legislation
Ability to manage multiple projects, activities and tasks simultaneously.
The ideal candidate would be someone who has experience in data management, has great attention to detail, can multi-task and who is willing to learn new skills. On some occasions this position will involve travelling to exhibitions to assist our onsite team.
Salary : Up to £30K dependent upon experience
